‘VLOOKUP’ stands for “Vertical Lookup”, and is one of the most commonly used lookup functions in Microsoft Excel. Use VLookup, when you want to find the details, from a table or a data range, for a given ‘lookup value’. You can use one or more data tables in VLOOKUP. It looks up a value in the leftmost column of a table and returns the corresponding value from one or more columns to the right.
