I was always drawn to the sea, and I love boats. This is amazing even for me, as I suffer greatly from sea sickness. I don’t know the reason for my passion, but it’s still there. In this scene there are all the elements that make the picture beautiful. There is a great depth here: from sunset at the horizon, glowing lights on the shore to the boat in the foreground. The colors are also quite special: from the coolness of the blue boat to the fiery-orange color of the evening sky. At first glance, this lesson is more suitable for an experienced artist, but I think it’s just because of the delicate work of the brush needed to depict the boat. If you can make your “package brush” behave obediently and dilute the paint to the right consistency for rigging, this is a good lesson for artists of any level.
